Trust & Methodology

OIYO aims to bridge "fun but unfounded" content and "rigorous but unreachable" academic material. This page states what we reference, what we promise, and what we do not.

What Our Tests Are Based On

Our tests reference the structure and item design of validated, published scales — PHQ-9 (depression), GAD-7 (anxiety), the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale, the MBI burnout model, ASRS (adult ADHD), and the Big Five (OCEAN). OIYO tests are reference implementations for self-reflection, not licensed clinical editions, and we cite the original scale on result screens and articles. Symbolic systems (Saju, tarot, astrology) are consistently framed as symbolic languages for self-understanding, never as prediction tools.

What We Do Not Promise

No OIYO test is a medical diagnosis. Results on clinical topics (depression, anxiety, ADHD) can be a signal to consider professional help, never a substitute for it — every such page carries a disclaimer. Fortune and symbolic content never asserts the future and must not ground medical, financial, or legal decisions.

Data Privacy

Your answers and results are never sent to our servers. Results exist only in your browser (screen, URL parameters, localStorage). We do not collect, store, or sell individual test results. Visit statistics use only aggregated Google Analytics data.

Creation & Review

Content is written by the OIYO research team from public literature, then passes automated checks (link integrity, structure, cross-language consistency) and manual review. If you find an error, tell us via the contact page — we verify, fix, and date the correction.
